ROCKFORD – The 6th annual Kitt F. Fisher Memorial Mad Scramble Golf Outing is in the books yesterday at North Kent Golf Club in Rockford. The weather was absolutely perfect and the refreshments were even better. A winning crew of Rudy Faber, Brad Hineline, Andris Runka and Ryan Aaron took home top honors, firing a (-12) 58 for the win.

We also had a visit from “Dart” and his handler, Becky, from Paws with a Cause.

Congratulations to all the golfers and a big thanks to our hostess, Kathey Klein at North Kent, along with her entire crew, for a job well done!

Also, of interest today for most of the Fatties, the 2008 Scouting Report is now online.

CEDAR SPRINGS, MI – The unbeatable Byrne Brothers, once again took home the hardware for the fourth time in the fourth annual Kitt F. Fisher Memorial Mad Scramble Golf Outing. Senator Rob and Colonel Scott beat back the field, taking a two stroke victory that was all the more impressive given that Ringler screwed up and had the men shooting from the tips, rather than the customary white tees of years past, at the challenging Cedar Chase Golf Club.
“Good Lord, that &#$% Ringler had us shooting from back there!?! #@#^&!!” commented EZ-E.
The Senator also managed to celebrate, as a good politician should, by consuming his body weight in refreshments and was forced to look to the First Lady, Amy, for transportation back to Sparta.

Very minimal golf skills are required.
Defending champions are the Byrne Brothers (2003-2005), so someone needs to “distract” them this year!

Fore!!

CEDAR SPRINGS – The second annual Mad Scramble is now in the books – with a familiar team atop the leader board. 36 hackers invaded the grounds of Cedar Chase to beat the heck out of the course, look for lost balls, and avoid EZ’s shorts.
Despite the best efforts of the Albertson boys to distract them, the Byrne brothers, Col. Scott and Sen. Rob, defended their title as the best duffers out there, posting a two stroke under par tally. They also managed to accumulate the largest tab of the season at the Harvard Tavern.
High score of 102 (in scramble play?!?) went to Bock & Humvee, playing in the training wheels division. Scotty “Bubba” Leuchtman took home the honors for longest drive with a wiffle golf ball, while Bev “Eligible” Fisher and The Colonel were longest with a real one. Humvee made the longest putt and Jose was closest to the pin.
Congratulations and thanks to everyone who participated.
