MINNEAPOLIS, MN  – The Fatties are on a roll, as a solid crew of Alan “The Kid” Garcia, Dave “Rings” Ringler and Jason “J-Mac” McInerney will hit the road to meet up with Dave “Minny Me” Ringler and Pat “Truck” Moriarity to take on the field in the HRL Twin Cities fifth annual Wifflin’ for Wishes in Hopkins, Minnesota this weekend. According to officials in Minnesota, the ever-growing tourney is expecting around 50 squads to participate. Proceeds exceeding expenses will benefit The Make a Wish Foundation of Minnesota.

Josh “Ten” Carroll is expected to provide the Mickey’s Wide Mouth, although he’s long since informed us that he’s only capable of drinking nine in a sitting.

MAUSTON, WI – Our friends from the HRL Twin Cities were forced to endure an unexpected purgatory on their way to the Fatty this past Friday, as they blew a sepentine belt and were forced to seek refuge at Sal’s A+ Service station in Mauston LINK.
Fortunately, Sal was accommodating as the lads were able to keep themselves refreshed during their unfortunate layover.

Sal’s is all about safety.

Fortunately, their sojurn home was less eventful, save a jump start from Harvard Yards to get things rolling.

HOPKINS, MN – The Fatties are hitting the road again!

The week following the Fat Bastard will see a couple of us hitting the road to participate in the HRL Twin Cities “Wifflin’ for Wishes” tournament in Minnesota. This is their fifth version of W4W, and our first visit as Rings, The Kid, Minny Me & J-Mac are currently scheduled to make the trip, in support of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – My goodness, but everyone’s favorite Pat “Truck” Moriarity has lost nearly an axle and is moving in on mini-van territory!

Many of you may have been following the story, but the 2006 Fat Bastard Most Valuable Player had entered into a “Fat Guy Challenge”  last fall with a fellow Twin City member, Panther. With a goal of working himself back into shouting distance of three bills, Truckster has shed fifty pounds so far in the effort, as evidenced by the two photos above from October 1st to April 1st.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – HRL Twin Cities legend and former MVP Pat “Truck” Moriarity is in for the challenge: to move from “Mack” to “Short Bus.” He, and fellow HRL’er, Panther, have challenged themselves to get lean & mean, with an Ultimate Loser competition style competition.

Here are the ground rules that were agreed to by these Heavy Hitters:

1.) Starting on October 1st, there will be an official weigh-in. The starting weights will be posted on their blog site.
2.) Weigh-ins will occur every 1st and 15th of the month. Consider these ‘checkpoints’. Progress will always be posted on their site. Truck and Panther must always use the same scale for all of their weigh-ins.
3.) When possible, photos (fully clothed, of course) will also be posted at weigh-in time.
4.) Combatants will lose the weight using a method or methods of their choosing. It’s encouraged that they do this as healthily as possible.

MINNEAPOLIS – Word out of Minnesota has Fat Bastard rookie and long-time HRL’er, Andy “KMart” Gillund, as a model for a new line of “Inspiration” posters.
The nearly iconic posters are often seen displayed in corporate or educational settings.
Congratulations to KMart on his success and we’ll look forward to seeing his image soon…most likely in our local Post Office.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Fatties are once again on the road as a star-studded crew of Fat Bastard idiots take to the Eisenhower Highway System on their way to Minneapolis this weekend, where they’ll be paying a visit to our HRL Twin Cities friends.
A road warrior crew of The Kid AG, Moop and Rings are expected to arrive Friday in the Twin Cities, just in time to boo the Twinkies against the White Sox, and prepare for a Saturday of wiffles, most likely at Sky Hill park in nearby Eagan.
The HRL’s annual “pub crawl” is scheduled to follow, where our shy and reserved group of Fatties are expected to participate.
We’ll keep a look out for “Stacks” and you keep an eye on the news for any “international incidents” in Minnesota.
