Fat Bastard Approved Sites: BACK to A CLUE

THE MICHIGAN ALLIANCE-
Michigan Wiffle Alliance -The source to begin for all of Michigan’s wiffle action.
The WiffleHouse – (Essexville/Bay City) Home of the Mid-Michigan Wiffleball Association (MMWA) and the Hampton Pirates among the teams making up the largest league playing in the state. This is the class of wiffle ball sites anywhere as Commissioner Garcia is definitely a pro webmaster. The Pirates have participated in the Fatty since 2001.
Kalamazoo Wiffleball League (Kalamazoo) Founded in 2006, this is a group of local guys with a great looking league and a website full of potential. They’re probably due for a visit from the Fatties in pretty short order.
Great Lakes Wiffleball Association – (Midland) A great group of guys (GLWA), led by Commissioner Davis. They took the field in ’02 as the Chet Lemons, but claimed to have a beer-belly-ache and begged off since. (defunct?)
Major League Yardball - (Flint) The Stars are a long time league from the east (MLY). Their site if full of humor, bad beer, bad taste and home to an entire league that runs bases and wears gloves in the field. They continue to claim PMS and have yet to make the trip to Harvard.
Curves for the Cure – (Holly) A relatively quiet charity tournament between Flint and Detroit on the east side. They were the Pelee Islanders at the Fatty in 2003.
Pittsfield Yards (Saline/Ann Arbor) This group has been around several years, but has been only semi-active recently. They do have a site, however, and we’ll hope to catch them for a game one of these days.
Downriver Wiffleball League – (S.Detroit) The southern suburbs of Detroit are home to an enthusiastic newer group hoping to stick around, but who’ve been rather quiet for the past year.

NATIONAL WIFFLE SITES
(alpha by state)
Fast Plastic (National) The new home of the national playoff system. Includes a message board and information on regional playoff tournaments throughout the U.S.
Wiffleball Network (National) The former national site, still working, and a great resource for other like-minded idiots. Sign up for a free password and find league and tournaments in your area.
WiffleUp (National) Another touring tournament series. The graphics get old in a hurry, but a good source of tournaments for teams that want to travel.
Arizona Wiffle Ball (AZ) Internet home of the 2-time FP National Champion Vipers and national-MVP Jim Balian as well as all things Arizona.
Fresno Wiffle League (CA) A very respectable, up-to-date, effort in the home of the former Butterfield Brewery.
Strawberry Field (CA) You think we’re crazy, look what this guy did! He doesn’t seem to communicate with any other organizations, but he’s linked by almost everyone because this is the “I refuse to grow up” dream. (We’re guessing he’s not married). [site currently down, but we're hopeful for a recovery]
Wiffleball 2k (CA) Former great league site – but hasn’t updated in years and is now a resource and critic site – with uber-professional designed layout, graphics, humor and sarcasm. (They don’t seem to particularly care for our site as we spend more time self-lubricating than taking endless stats.) They also take great pride in telling everyone their poop don’t stink and boasting that their 4-team driveway league was “the best in the world”. (defunct)
Big League Wiffleball (CT) A great new site, near the home of Wiffle Inc.
Potomac Wiffleball League (D.C.) A nice league in the nation’s capital, with a “Truck” rival as commish and an over-the-top Tony.
W.A.Y.L.A.C. (IL) Zeptepi and the gang have been putting the F-U in “fun” for years now, hosting two tourneys: Enrico Palatzo in the spring and the B.Y.W.A.S.O. in late summer.
Illinois Wiffle Association: WiffleFest (IL) A fine Chicagoland tourney through a local parks department, they field both “upper” and “lower” divisions.
Windy City Wiffle (IL) Blowing in from Chicago, this group has been playing for years and they remain great friends of the Fatties. These guys are darn near an honorary Michigan Alliance member.
World Whiffleball Championship (IN) From Mishawaka and home to a reborn, huge slow-pitch tournament. Now a charity event, these guys would still be wonderful Fat Bastards when they make the trip North…(and don’t be frightened of the “fast pitch” rules…the girls don’t throw that hard — although concentration can be a problem.)
Iowa Wiffle Ball (IA) Mark Meyers has been working on a league in Iowa with a sparse web-site. They’re finally getting things together. We’ll hopefully meet again on the road soon.
BKWiffle (MA) A memorial tournament and a very nice site out east.
Hastings Park (MA) One of the premier sites, the very professional hpwl is regularly updated with fresh content, stories, video and all the things that make geeks fun!
New England Wiffleball Association (MA) Clearinghouse for all Mass wiffs and a good source of links, teams and tournaments.
Turners Wiffle (MA) Older established league with a good site and a comprehensive links page.
Golden Stick (MA) An pretty good league that has their own online magazine dedicated to wiffle.
HRL (MA) The original league for Truck from Twin Cities (see below) and home to an annual tournament.
HRL Twin Cities (MN) Kick ass! Beer drinkers who have a very nice, newer site and league out of the “other” great lakes state. They’ve become great friends of the Fatties as we trade annual road trips!
Diablos (MO) Their site is still a work in progress, but a competitive team from the Show Me State.
New Jersey Wiffle Ball (NJ) Home of some of the oldest Wiffle Ball leagues and sites, the Jersey guys are another great source of info and links. They are also a great resource for getting started (although they refuse to include us in their links).
Major League Wiffle Ball (NY) Historical site from Albany. One of the best in its day.
Wiffle Ballin’ for Christ (NC) Some Bible-thumpers from Tobacco Road.
London Wiffle Ball (OH) A long running tournament in central Ohio. Even though the silo is gone, check out the “barn field.”
WifflePalooza (OH) Nice, media covered, tournament with funny pitching rules in Cincinnati and overdue for a Fat Bastard experience.
Edd Pedro Tournament (RI) From our smallest state comes a great annual charity tournament.
Nutless Wifflers (RI) Wiffle ball and beer…what more do you need?
Little Fenway (VT) A great replica of Fenway Park.
Washington State Wiffleball Association (WA) Our friends from the Pacific Northwest.
Haldi Field (WA) Tons of multimedia for this backyard tournament, a complete 5 kegger event.
Garret Drive Whiffleball (WV) Another “league lineup site”, but enthusiastic.
