Alan “Fattened Stats” Garcia
(2001-2003) Home Run Champion 2001, Pitcher of the Year 2003, Director of Technology and Viavex Studios 2002-2003. Al Garcia exploded onto the Fat Bastard scene in the second year of the modern era, bashing 5 dingers in his first 7 at-bats to announce his presence. By this past year, his pitching prowess had matched his big stick: impressive.
Credit also goes to the Director of Viavex Studios, who annually produces the Fatty highlight video and assists with web publishing. Garcia leads the WiffleHouse, the Mid-Michigan Wiffleball Association and is captian of the Hampton Pirates out of Essexville, MI near Bay City.
As the top vote getter in the fan, front office, and hall of famer voting, there could not be a more deserving enshrinee.
Whether you call him Gar, Canseco, Fattened Stats or just plain Sir, pitch him very carefully and be ready to face the heat, as Garcia is now a Hall of Famer.
Andy “The Big ‘Un” Albertson
(2000-2003) Baxter Bowl Champion 2001; Director of Capital Improvements 2000-2001; Director of Groundskeeping 2002-2004. If we can’t save Oldmobile then we may as well induct their biggest supporter, as the Big ‘Un joins his brother, EZ, and his teammate, O.B., in the hallowed halls of Fat Bastard lore.
No one has more fun than Albertson, who has lent a helping hand as the project manager responsible for the backstops in use today, the Pabst that is always in the cooler, and the darn mole killer to keep Harvard Yards free of varmints.
The Big ‘Un and his trademark Carhardts will be back with Hoyt Wilhelm for the fifth consecutive tourney, making him one of only a handful to have played every year.
He’s the Judge, the Superintendant, the Carhardt Comet, Pudge and the Big ‘Un. He’s number 72 in your program and number one in your hearts. He’s tanned, he’s rested and he’s ready to be enducted into the Fat Bastard Hall of Fame.
